Deutzia setchuenensis, commonly known as Sichuan Deutzia, is a deciduous shrub native to the mountainous regions and forest margins of South Central and Southeastern China. It typically grows to a height of 5-6 feet (1.5-1.8 meters) and a width of 4-5 feet (1.2-1.5 meters). This shrub is characterized by its arching branches and fine-textured foliage, with clusters of star-shaped, white flowers that bloom profusely in late spring to early summer, providing a showy display. The flowers are attractive to pollinators and beneficial insects.

Sichuan Deutzia is valued for its ease of maintenance and the ornamental quality of its flowers. It is often used in residential landscapes for border planting, as a specimen, or in mass plantings for a dramatic effect. It thrives in full sun to part shade and prefers moist, well-drained soils, though it can tolerate slower drainage. Regular watering is important, especially in drier climates. While generally disease-resistant, it can be susceptible to leaf spot and powdery mildew in humid conditions.
