Eriocapitella tomentosa, commonly known as Hardy Grape Leaf Anemone, is a deciduous perennial herb native to open woodlands and grassy slopes in South-Central China. It typically grows to a height of 2-4 feet and a width of 2-3 feet. The plant features deeply lobed leaves resembling those of a grape, and it produces showy, cup-shaped pink flowers from late summer to fall, adding a splash of color to the garden late in the season.

Hardy Grape Leaf Anemone is valued for its late-season blooms and its ability to adapt to a range of garden conditions. It is often used in border plantings, cottage gardens, and woodland gardens. While it prefers full sun to part shade, it is also tolerant of a variety of soil types, provided they have good drainage. Regular watering will help maintain its lush appearance, but once established, it can tolerate some drought. It is generally pest and disease resistant, but powdery mildew and leaf spot can occasionally be problems.
