Goeppertia orbifolia, commonly known as Round-leaf Calathea or Orbifolia Calathea, is an evergreen perennial herb native to the understory of tropical rainforests in South America. The leaves are a bright green with bold silver bands, making the plant highly ornamental. It does not produce showy flowers, but its foliage is the main attraction.

Round-leaf Calathea is valued for its air-purifying qualities and is often used as an indoor plant in homes and offices. It is also popular in tropical-themed gardens and as underplanting in shaded areas. This plant requires consistent moisture and high humidity to thrive, mimicking its rainforest habitat. It prefers well-draining soil rich in organic matter. Avoid direct sunlight, as it can scorch the leaves. It is sensitive to temperature fluctuations and cold drafts.
