Iris brandzae, commonly known as Iris Brandzy or Prodan Iris, is a rhizomatous perennial herb native to meadows and grassy slopes in Romania. It is part of the genus Iris, within the subgenus Limniris and series Spuriae. Iris brandzae typically grows to a height of 30-60 cm (12-24 inches) and is known for its striking flowers, which are violet and white, blooming in late spring to early summer. The flowers are moderately showy, with the characteristic iris form of three upright petals (standards) and three hanging petals (falls), which attract pollinators such as bees and butterflies.

Iris brandzae is valued for its drought tolerance and unique flower coloration, making it a suitable choice for rock gardens, perennial borders, and wildflower meadows in temperate regions. It thrives in full sun but can tolerate part shade, and it prefers well-drained soils. While it requires low amounts of water once established, consistent moisture is beneficial during the flowering period.
