Lysimachia paridiformis var. stenophylla, commonly known as Chinese Loosestrife, is an evergreen perennial herb native to forest margins, stream banks, and moist meadows in China. It typically grows to a height and width of 1 foot (0.3 meters), forming a low, bushy mound. The lance-shaped leaves are dark green, and the plant produces small, star-shaped yellow flowers on terminal spikes during the summer and fall, which are moderately showy and attract pollinators.

Chinese Loosestrife is valued for its ability to thrive in damp conditions and its extended flowering period, making it a suitable choice for water gardens, rain gardens, and as a ground cover in moist borders. It is also used in traditional Chinese medicine. In cultivation, it prefers partial shade to full sun and requires consistently moist soil with good drainage to prevent root rot. While it is not particularly drought-tolerant, it can adapt to various soil types.
