Vicia grandiflora, commonly known as large yellow vetch or bigflower vetch, is an annual legume native to temperate regions of Europe and Asia and has been introduced to North America. The plant produces bright yellow flowers that are quite showy and bloom from April to June, adding a splash of color to the landscape. In its native habitat, large yellow vetch is often found in meadows and open, bright forests, as well as cultivated fields where it may be used as a cover crop due to its nitrogen-fixing abilities.
